Playa the week before Easter?
 

I am considering Playa del Carmen for a vacation the week before Easter. I expect it to be busier because of the holiday, but how bad is it? I mean is it the busiest week of the year? Trying to get an idea of what to expect. If it will be wall to wall people, I think I will go another time. Anyone been there the week before Easter before?

We are going to PDC the week after Easter...why? B/c where we're staying, the Royal Hideaway, was completely booked the week before Easter...and we booked our trip in November '03! So, just judging by that I would think the week before Easter is quite busy, but don't know for sure. I hope you are planning for the week before Easter '05, not '04. :-)

I went ahead and booked this, yes for Easter 04! I got a great deal on airfare and hotel. I had a list of small hotels in town I wanted to try, but they were all full. I found what looks like a great place called Hotel Paradise. Small, a few blocks from the beach and town and has a small pool for the kids. Hoping it won't be TOO crowded on the beach and in town, but we will have fun either way.
