Playa del Carmen - suite hotels or similar for family of 4

Two teenagers and parents. Looking for 1-2 bedrooms, refrigerator. AI would be OK, but not first choice. I know we could always get 2 hotels rooms - kids are old enough. Trip would be in summer - want some beach and water sport time plus side trips to see Mayan ruins.

The Playa-Maya might fit your bill. It has family suites with refrigerators, and is right on the beach in Playa.

I'm staying at Playa-Maya next month, and they've been great to deal with.

We really like Xaman Ha condos in Playa. They're right on the beach, have two nice pools, and are within easy walking distance of downtown Playa (just south of the ferry pier next to the Continental Plaza).

Each condo has its own small kitchen, and there is a fair bit of space.

We rented from lesliescondos.com, but there are plenty of places you can rent through.

The food (and drink) in Playa is good enough that, in my opinion, AI wouldn't be preferable.

Have a good trip...

Google: hotel vista caribe
They have two very nice two bedroom apartments for reasonable rates.
This hotel has a great location.
Rates are negotiable
