Peru best tours operator, need a review
Hello, planning a trip in November, has anyone out there travelled to Peru with this company? I really like their Best of the Andes itinerary and would welcome some feedback. Thanks for any info you can provide.

We used Condor Tours, the second largest tour broker in Peru for 10 days including machu picchu, arequipa, cuzco, colca valley and the condors, lima, sacred valley, ollataytambo, andes train to puno and lake titicacca-essentially they shepherded us from one location to the next, made sure we got on the planes, got to the hotels we selected, got on a particular city or other tour we desired. they did an excellent job and the tour guides for various tours we took were well informed. If you want our details email me.

Hi artnuvo,
Thank you very much for your reply. Finally, I found good comments on perubesttours on tripadvisor.com. I am currently dealing with them. Julio, the agent, has been very nice and helpful and the quote he gave us is ok with us. I think we are going with them. thanks again |
I just want to say thanks to everyone who provided useful tips and information. We did make it home without any trouble. Although it has been a little tough adjusting back to our normal routine. We went with perubesttours.com and had a fantastic experience. We felt like the trip that they put together was a perfect mix of individual time and time spent with various groups of other tourists. The accommodations were all top notch (much better than we are used to while traveling) and every transfer was on time. We also think that they did a wonderful job in selecting the various tour guides that we were placed with. They all spoke excellent English and were well versed on the history and culture of the different areas that we were in. The most considerate part of our trip was the phone that they gave us when we arrived at the airport. It helped us know that we could get in touch with you whenever necessary and added a sense of security to our visit to a foreign country. We had a fantastic experience and I will highly recommend them to anybody planning on going to this beautiful country.

Can you give us an idea of what the trip cost to book through Peru Best Tours? How many days were you in Peru?
|
We did an 8-days trip for about $1600 which we found to be fairly reasonable considering the hotels we requested, activities and service provided. We were in Cusco (Liberatador), Sacred Valley (the Casa Andina) and Machu Picchu (Inkaterra) and loved them. The last day, we got back from Cusco and our agent was waiting for us at the airport. He took us to their office in Miraflores where we could drop off our luggage. We started then a city tour of Lima which we enjoyed very much. We had lunch at Astrid & Gaston (highly recommended). After that, we enjoyed walking around Kennedy Park and some nice streets (don’t remember names), did some shopping and finally, we got back to their office (everything is walking distance in Miraflores) to pick our bags up. Our car was ready to take us to the airport to catch our plane back to the states.

Does this mean $1600 EACH for 8 days?
|
Yes. I forgot to say that domestic flights were included as well.
|
we used Exodus tours and had a great experience.

Kaki68, now you have really caught my attention --8 days at l600 pp?
How many nights did you stay at each hotel. I've researched some of those hotels and they are luxury for the area. I'd love to see your itinerary if you could post it. Thanks! cc |
