perfect resort for 1st time to Mexico?
Planning 25th anniversary "trip of a lifetime" Labor Day-ish '01, so have only one shot at choosing the perfect resort. Requirements: all-inclusive to control costs; barefoot ambiance (hubby's idea of dressing up is putting on his t-shirt - formal wear is his overalls); beautiful beach w/palm trees; lush grounds and room; decent food and mass quantities of beer; both privacy and places/people for socializing; pampering service; sense of safety; congenial crowd (we're both 43 and blue-collar types); and ease of reaching from midwest. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.
Apple Tours had an all inclusive trip to Cabo San Lucas a few years back. We stayed at el presidente. Secluded in San Jose Del Cabo but just a cab ride away to downtown Cabo where the parties are. Cheap trip but very nice resort and food was reasonably good. Alcohol included. You should see if you can find a similar deal.

Allegro Cozumel would fit the bill I would think. You can be very casual but still partake of all things. Grounds are lovely, staff entertaining, beer cold. Diving great!! Rent a car for the day go see other side of island lots of great beach bars what a hoot. You can't go wrong with cozumel. peace rita
email if you want more specifics

Cozumel is a great choice. If you want to spend a whole lot less money
consider going to Isla Mujeres. a small
Carribean Island about 10 miles from Cancun. It is small town, laid back and much cheaper than Cozumel or Cancun. Norde beach is fabulous. We have a 15 page brouchure on the Isand that we can e-mail you if you request. Dan and Ginny
