Peninsula Valdes in April?

I am considering a short trip to Peninsula Valdes in April. Seems that is not the time for either whale viewing or the penguins. Is the trip still worth it? I have been around Patagonia several times before, but would still consider visiting PV if the scenery and environs alone are worth the trip. Thanks.

there is wildlife to see at all parts of the year. the reserve at punta tombo is closed from april to september, so you wont be able to see the penguins.

i attach a link with calendar of natural attractions throughout the year, april you can still see plenty of wildlife, just not the penguins or whales.

for the scenery by itself i would rather go to bariloche personally,,,,buena suerte

I visited Peninsula Valdes in February--accidentally. We asked to be booked on a tour to see penguins and, instead of putting us on the Punto Tumbo tour, we were put on a 12 hour bus tour of Peninsula Valdes. We had a 5 minutes stop to see a couple of penguins.

There was a nice stop to see some sea lions, and a very expensive restaurant for lunch. Overall, I would have preferred to do some other kind of tour.

The wildlife highlights of the tour--desert life and sea lions were very familiar to us--we live in Southern California.

Although I didn't hate the tour, I felt like there were probably better ways to spend my time--and money--in Argentina.
