Peace Lodge/Punta Islita Rooms
Hello Again,
If you have stayed at either of these places, could you share which room you had and if you liked it? From what I've seen, I'm sure I'll love it even if we pitch a tent, but I'm always curious to hear others' input. Thanks in advance! |
Hi,
Wr stayed at the Peace Lodge last Fri. before returning to U.S. We had the Monarch Villa. Fabulous room with 2 bathrooms, loft, living/dining area, and master bedroom suite. Whirlpool on deck outside and one in the bathroom. 3 gas fire places, great wood and stone work. Very romantic. It was a lot of cash to lay out for just one night. We didn't have time to explore the lovely grounds or waterfalls at all. If I did it again I would definitely do at least 2 days. Thats my take on it, TRIP |
Recently back from Peace Lodge. All the deluxe rooms (2nd floor) are great. We loved ours because it seemed to have maybe a little bit more privacy than some of the others: Charitonia heliconia (all the rooms are named after butterflies.) Also, they're doing a bit of construction at PL (not much of a nuisance) and Charitonia is farthest from where the construction is, also closest to restaurants (but absolutely no noise from there). Please try to leave plenty of time at PL-- not just overnight and out. The grounds are gorgeous-- the hummingbirds, the butterflies, the spectacular waterfall trails. We had 2 nights-- one and a half full days. Would have been happy evenn to have another day.

Trippie it is such a shame that you did not have time for exploring. Peace Lodge and La Paz are so beautiful.
TwoJGs - many people have reported on the deluxe, we however had a standard room and if the deluxe room is much better than the standard, well I guess I would have exploded with excitement. I was like a kid in a candy store in the standard room. Take whatever room you can get - it is worth it! |
Thanks so much for the feedback.
From the website it seems any room would be amazing, but like I said, it's always nice to get input from people who have been there. Thanks again. |
If you go to Punta, consider a Junior Suite with outdoor Jacuzzi. The ones 50 yards East of the main building are duplexes, but very private and with a great ocean view. We had one and it was great.
