Well, cmcfong, I see you have been rather unlucky, so far, with this thread.

On tripadvisor.com I started a trip report about Bariloche. So far, I covered how to get there. I still have to write about where to stay, where to eat and what to do.

In a nutshell, I believe that, unless you are coming during the local summer holidays period (Late Dec./late Feb.), you should not have any trouble at all getting where to stay.

I feel that you should rent a car and stay out of town. The town is ugly and often crowded.

Recently, I showed Bariloche to a tripadvisor forum member who told me: "now I see why you say you have to rent a car".

I donīt know any of those hotels you mention. If you do as I say, you should rent a car, pick it up at the airport and drive around Bariloche, looking for a place you like.

Once you find it, ask to see a room, ask about the price, argue about it offering cash payment and only stay if you are sure you like both the room and the price.

Bariloche is a town that lives off tourism, so there are any number of places to choose from, from hostels to the Llao-Llao.

I will check your thread on tripadvisor today, AVRooster. You have once again come to my rescue. Thank you for taking the time to post.
