Patagonia cruise

Does anyone know about the cruise to the glaciers in Patagonia. I will be going there at the beginning of April.

Thanks.

We went on a 3 day cruise on the Mare Australis last year from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas - rounding Cape Horn. We really enjoyed it - here is a link to our blog with lots of pics and descriptions (scroll down past Santiago) - happy to answer any questions

We took a cruise to the Chilean fjords in March 2000 on small ship "Clipper Adventurer". It started in Santiago, cruised the inner fjords of Chile and went to Ushuaia. We saw lots of beautiful scenery, and took zodiac trips to glaciers. It was a very relaxing and scenic trip. We did not see another boat the entire way. It was over 1000 miles of scenic waterfalls, mountains, glaciers, small villages. We didn't see much wildlife except for an ocassional dolphin or seabirds.

The glaciers in this area are bluer and cleaner than those that we have seen in Alaska. At least they were 7 years ago.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the great pictures. I am really getting excited about seeing this part of the world since this is my first trip to South America.

Lovely photos, Elizabeth_S.
Great report, enjoyed your writing style too.

Thanks for your report....sorry I just came across it now.

We were on a cruise from Buenos Aires to Santiago around Cape Horn. Brought back memories of our trip....your cruise sounds more alive and interesting than the one we were on, although we had a lot of fun.
