The weather should be very nice in May. It is just the beginning of the rainy season, but this area doesn't get as much rain anyway. The area will not be as lush and green as you would find it in July after the rains have been going for a couple of months, but it is still a nice area. I have stayed at the Paradisus several times. The rooms, as I am sure you know, are rather spread out. . .not to the extreme, but it IS a large resort. The pink and white stiped shuttles travel conveniently throughout the property 24 hours a day. However, we have never been so far away that we didn't just walk to the pool or the restaurants, etc.--within 3 minutes. I don't know the layout of the room numbers, but I do know of at least 2 buildings that we thought were in good locations because we stayed there. Room 125 was fairly close to "everything" ( I particularly remember it being just a couple of villas from the little internet cafe and mini superette) and right next to the golf course and a lake. Also, Room 254 was in a good location (close proximity to the pool). May and June tend to be slower months at the resort. You should be able to request location. Write to Donovan Garcia. He is the front desk manager in charge of all the rooms. He is very helpful. His address is:

We were there the last week of April in 2003 and it only rained once...at about 2:00am and everything was dry by the time we headed out for breakfast.
