Palace Resorts Included Tours
 

Has anyone been to any of the Palace resorts in Mexico lately? I'm looking at Aventura Palace. What included tours were available to choose from? Found some info on their site, but not sure if it is current.<BR><BR>And what about the food? Is is good? Do they serve seafood or have food surcharges? Thanks.

Kristy,<BR><BR>We stayed at the Aventura in October and it was wonderful! They had a great selection of food, everything is included, they had beautiful grounds, the room was so nice with the balcony and double jacuzzi. Also was a free mini fridge that had beer, water, and soda refilled every other day. The staff treated us like we were movie stars they bend over backawards for you which was really nice! <BR><BR>As for the tours they offered Tulum, Chichen Itza, Isla Mujeres, Coba, Ek-Balam, and Valladolid. We went to Tulum and Isla Mujeres, we loved it. <BR><BR>I also suggest using the stay at 1 play at all, it is nice to see the different resorts, we even got to see the brand new Spa Palace that was pure heaven. The Xpu-Ha is another nice resort they have bungalow rooms, and the food there was good as well. Lots of good snorkeling there too. I think the tours run around $75-$120 per person. It depends on which tour it is.<BR><BR>

I stayed at the Aventura last Nov. I can't say enough about it. We loved everything about it and the food was always good. The staff always wore a smile and we had no problems communicating even though we speak no Spanish. This Oct. we took our two teenage daughters and stayed at the Cancun Palace. We had a great time. The beach there is very nice. The rooms are not the luxury that Aventura was but very clean. I also recommend going to see the other palaces while you are there. We are going back in Feb but with a group and staying at the Moon. I can't wait. Hope you enjoy you trip.

Be Wary of Quest Services could be timeshare trying to hook you into a pitch. There is a good resale page <BR>www.timeshareguru.com and tug.2.com.

I don't know what you are talking about with Quest services, but the Palace Resorts free tours have nothing to do with timeshare, they really are free tours, they will ask you to join them for a "lunch" or something like that to get you to listen to the timeshare, it is not only Palace Resorts either many resorts in Cancun are all selling timeshare so make sure you know this ahead of time, so you know what to expect and aviod if you are not interested.

Guest Services or people sitting at front desks in lobbies offering tours are usually timeshare trying to hook the guest into a timeshare pitch. If I have to sit thru a lunch or whatever first then the tour is not free it is costing me my valuable time. <BR><BR>
