Any good recs for cheap hotels in Carate?

How cheap? There is only one really cheap place behind the pulpuria by the airstrip. They don't have electricity though. There are two tent camps, La Leona Tent Camp and Corcovado Tent camp. Luna lodge has tents that they rent for less than their bungalows.
Look Out Inn is there. Terrapin Lodge. This is all that is in Carate.

Of the tent camps-which would you recommend? I think they run about75bucks a night? How nice and how much do the look out in and terrapin lodge run?

Also, are there places near carate and puerto jimenez where you can camp out on the beach, near cabo matalapo? I seem to remember seeing people camping there 10 years ago.

I liked the Corcovado Tent Camp. Haven't stayed at La Leona.

You can camp right by the pulpuria on the beach. For just a very few dollars ($5 ?) you can use their bathrooms and showers. They sell food there. I also understand that you can buy a meal at the Corcovado tent camp if you let them know ahead of time.

I forget how much Look out was. I tried to get on their web site but couldn't. Their Bandwidth was full whatever that means. I do remember that I paid a little over $100 for the cabin. The room was a little less. It did include all meals. The Terrapin is around $70 and includes 3 meals.
