Original Canopy Tour or Selvatura-Monteverde

Original Canopy Tour or Selvatura-Monteverde
Which canopy tour company do people recommend in Monteverde? (Original Canopy tour or Selvatura). I already reserved the original canopy tour on my own. I was just reading a message from the Frommers message board website about someone who just went on the Original Canopy tour and felt that it was unsafe and the staff was not good. Has anyone else gone on the Original Canopy tour recently? My husband and 2 kids are planning on ziplining and I don't want it unsafe for them. I picked the original Canopy tour because alot of the travel books recommend them and also dateline also recommended this canopy tour. I want to go on a safe canopy tour because of my children. Should I change my reservation to the Selvatura canopy tour or just keep my reservation with the Original Canopy tour?

there is also the Sky trek too (not to make things more complicated).
My understanding is that the Original Canopy tour is the oldest one...between selvatura and Sky trek, i'm not sure which one is newer...but both are supposed to be higher/longer. I think with the Original you need to use your hands to brake, but with the Sky Trek there is a brake built into the contraption.
I myself am debating between Selvatura and Sky Trek in Monteverde or else Sky Trek in Arenal which is supposed to be very new.

I heard that the original canopy tour is the safest canopy tour around. It has the best safety record. Has anyone gone on the Original Canopy tour lately? I want my canopy tour to be the safest because my kids are going on it.

First of all, they are ALL safe. So I would not worry too much. To my knowledge, there have not been any fatalities in Monteverde.
Selvatura is my personal favorite. It is the newest, and the owner is a former partner at the Sky Trek.
I find that there is a natural evolution, and that the newer ones are better. I like Selvatura over Sky Trek because there is more platform to platform zips, and less walking.
