Oaxaca weather in mid-September?

I'm thinking about visiting Oaxaca City in mid-September. After reading many guidebooks, it's still unclear if this is a good or bad time of year to visit from a weather perspective. Will rain, hurricanes or other forces of nature be a significant problem during this time? Am I better off going to Oaxaca City some other time during the year?

I don't think there is a bad time of year to go to Oaxaca City. I have been there all seasons. Anyway, the rain should have stopped, it will be a little cooler, it is an off time for tourism, should be great.

September is still very much hurricane season, if that is what you are asking. If you get cancel for any reason trip insurance, you should be okay since there is usually plenty of warning.
