November Weather at Bosque Del Cabo

Hello,

Wondering if someone can tell me what kind of weather to expect around mid November in the area of Bosque Del Cabo, Osa Peninsula. I'm really interested in seeing the wildlife at this time but I'm concerned about how much it may rain and if we'll be stuck inside all the time.

Thanks!!

For a more accurate assessment from someone who is there year in and year out during that transition time, I'd e-mail the hotel. They will not give you incorrect information just to get you there.

Since October is SO rainy down there, I'd be a little wary of mid-November. The later in November you go, the drier it should be. However, there is no way to predict it. Those who live there should be able to help guide your decision.

shillmac,

Thank you for your quick response. I emailed BdC yesterday but have not received a response yet. I'm just trying to firm up dates and trying to get as much insight as possible.

Thanks,

May-November is rain time down there, with October being the rainiest. I totally agree with shillmac, the later you can push it the better. Check out www.costa-rica-guide.com. It has a rain map under the weather section that allows you to click on Puerto Jimenez, and you can see the average rainfall for each month.

We travelled to CR for the last two weeks of November of 2007. We began in La Fortuna, then headed to Quepos and saved the Osa (Bosque del Cabo) for the third leg of our trip because of rain concerns. It rained one evening during dinner and all that night - beautiful! The rest of our 4 night stay was clear. We found the weather to be perfect for hiking (oh yes and for eating, sleeping, drinking ;-)

During the planning this was a concern for us, but those two weeks were the ones we had available and it all worked out!

volcanojulie and campgirl,

Thanks so much for your responses. It has helped. I'm still waiting to hear back from BdC. It's been a couple of days. I hope I hear soon. I'm anxious to make my airline and all hotel reservations.

Thanks again for your responses.
