nice hotel between airport and Poas?

We just have one night before we fly down to the Osa. This will be our 6th trip to CR and we've never seen Poas Volcano. Is there someplace with easy driving distance in between the volcano and the airport? Something in the $200 range?

Thanks!

Xandari or Finca Rosa Blanca in Alajuela are more than nice hotels and probably less than a hour's drive to Poas. I don't know though that you can book a room for less than $250-$300.

Cabanas San Isidro comes in about $100--was a lovely place when we stayed there under the old management (then known as the Orquideas Inn). That's about 1 hour from Poas and about 30 minutes from the airport.

Sorry, not Cabanas San Isidro (which is in Ecuador) but rather Villa San Ignacio.

Pura Vida Hotel north of Alajuela might work, they offer a Procrastinator's special.

There are some smaller locally owned places closer to Poas but you would have to check TA or booking.com for reviews.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I checked with Xandari and they only have a $300 plus room available. Since we're coming in later at night and leaving first thing in the morning, I decided just to book Casa Marin closer to the airport. Looks like it'll work out for us for one night, even though we have a longer drive in the morning.
