Lynda, I don't know if you live near the ocean, or visit the beach often on trips, but if not, I would recommend having lunch at La Rosa Nautica in Lima. It is out on a pier, with panoramic views up and down the coastline. It kind of reminds me of Santa Monica (as far as the scenery), with all of the cliffs coming right up to the beach.

You might consider going down to Nasca to see the Nasca lines, worth the trip.
