Need Help with Cabo

Looking to go to Cabo for Spring Break. Don't know anything about it and would like info on the best areas to stay in. Will have teenagers who love the beach so would like to stay on or close to a good one. Any ideas? Also looking for good resort or condo suggestions. Thanks!!

can't help too much, but most beaches in Cabo aren't swimmable. The Hilton advertises theirs as swimmable, and the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mars is supposed to be swimmable when the water's calm.
good luck!

Salty: Frankie is right.....many beaches in Los Cabos are not safe for swimming. The Hilton and the Melia Cabo Real (all-inclusive) are on a safe beach, but they are about 20KM outside of Cabo San Lucas and 10KM outside of San Jose del Cabo. The Melia San Lucas is a good resort; a short walk to downtown Cabo and located on a safe swimming beach (Playa Medano).

Is there a reason you chose Cabo? Since you said you don't know anything about it, I'm wondering.

I'd suggest Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, or Cancun all as nice possibilities for your family.

Just got back from Cabo 2 weeks ago for the 1st time. I would suggest looking at the Villa Del Palmar (or something close)it is on the swimming beach (Medino, I believe) The sand is rocky and some days the surf was a little too rough to get in. Villa del Palmar is walking distance from some beach bars, a short walk or taxi downtown. Cabo is also somewhat expensive, Cancun definately has better beaches and is less expensive--probably more fun for teenagers

Suze, I thought I'd investigate Cabo since we've never been and we've been to Puerto Vallarta (loved it) and Cancun (Didn't love it). After reading your posts and several others, I'm rethinking my location and will probably choose somewhere else. I'll probably be back soon with more questions. Thanks for your replies!

I'd suggest Playa Del Carmen or Isla Mujeres.
