Need Help Deciding where to go!
 

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to plan my trip to costa rica with my girlfriend who I will be proposing to on the trip! I am on a budget of about $2500 for the both of us including air. I would like to stay in costa rica for at least 5 nights and want to stay at Peace Lodge (where I will propose) for at least two nights. What other places that are within driving distance of there would you suggest going and which hotels are nice but not too pricey? Thanks for your help!

what region is Peace lodge in? Where are you flying in from? You want to pay about 1,200 for two people for 5 nights that might be pushing it. I looked up Peace lodge at seems like the rooms are at least 200 a night. Food and drink are cheap if you stay to the local places. We did our trip for (10 nights, from Los Angeles) for 4,000 but stayed in cheaper places... Jaco Beach and Man. Antino. Good luck.

What about day tripping or overnighting on night at the research lodge at the Base of the Volcano - Aerenol? You can get a local to hike you up the volcano, it erupts every two hours and propose as the night sky is filled with spectacular fireworks!!!
