Need help deciding between Drake Lodges
Planning our next trip to CR. We are trying to decide between Casa Corcovado and Aquila de Osa and I'm hoping someone on this forum has experience with one of these places. Background: Did PJ and Croc Bay this year, OH and I in early 50's, like fishing, snorkeling, hiking, and outdoors (to a certain extent). Also like a small amount of comfort for sleeping and accommodations. Big chance some family may come with us this time for their first CR experience, which could range from my very active 75 yr old mother, sister and friend in 40's who aren't hardcore outdoor enthusiasts, and 19 yr old nephew who'll sleep in a hammock just to get to come. Our last trip was fab due to help I received here, so thanks in advance!

It isn't on your list but we enjoyed La Paloma which is right across from Aquila.

Thanks for the quick replies. We did look at La Paloma and I like it a lot, but we're not sure if my mom could handle the steep walks to the rooms. What do you think?

My husband and I spent (4) days at the Aguila and found it to be charming and friendly. The excursions were awesome (snorkeling, hiking, etc). The bungalos were functional, but nothing beat hammocks in the late afternoon, fresh costa rican coffee on our balcony every morning while watching the birds, showering with the jungle to our backs and the howler monkeys in the back ground. There are a lot of stairs to the majority of the bungalows however, so weigh that carefully. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!
