Wow, those are great photos. I have been to South America a few times, but I haven't seen that much wildlife. Where did you see the puma and the parrot licks?

I have my next trip scheduled to South America for August 2007 (Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana), but I may try to plan a South American wildlife trip for 2008.

PS -- The water rats are capybaras, the world's largest rodent.

How big are those water rats? They look like hippos!

thit_cho, I saw the puma & the parrot licks in the Heath River Wildlife cener (please look at my Amazon Rain Forest gallery) in my photo web-wite. Thx for telling me about the name of the water rats.

emd, The water rats about 4~5 fts long, 2 fts heigh. They did look like small hippos.
