I'm not a big fan of all-inclusives but i did stay at the cancun palace a couple of years ago... very gringo college ambiance, mediocre food, low quality booze (though all mexican beers available)... mediocre beach, beautiful ocean... rooms second rate. Now... if you are willing to sacrifice the all-inclusive and stay in cancun, definitely recommend Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach... best location (go out to eat rather than stay in) best poolin cancun imho, waveless thin beach (wonderful to wade in and snorkel and catamaran to snorkel), close to all the clubs, excellent oceanview rooms, expensive restaurants and drinks (pack your bag across the street with your own drinks and stuff)... second choice Marriot casa magna, grandiose hotel, excellent service and located in the middle of the island... if your looking for wedding try the ritz and look for their wedding packages... get free room for bride and groom with minimum # of invites staying there. Rated best hotel in Mexico but...they'll charge you even for breathing the air, but you'll feel pampered beyond belief... hope it helps... PS You should try Royal Hideaway in Playacar, heard great things (luxurious all-inclusive= expensive)but it's once in a lifetime buddy... wish you the best

MUST say if you want to be on the hotel zone it won't be too relaxing ESPECIALLY in Feb! That is Spring Break! I would go to Playa or better yet stay off the hotel zone, during Feb and March! Last thing I would want for my wedding or honeymoon is a bunch of drunk teenagers running around the hotel all hours of the night!

Try the Aventura Palace or the Xpu-Ha Palace they are 50 minutes from Cancun and your best bet this time of year! They are wonderful all inclusives! Just returned from the Xpu-Ha and all I have to say is WOW!

If you are worried about nightlife there is plenty in Playa and you could also go to Cozumel which is real close!

Good Luck!

Kev
I am going to the Moon Palace Resort in 2 weeks. I heard that it was very nice!

My husband and I stayed at the Moon Palace in April of this year for 5 days and loved it! We will not hesitate to go back there. Once you book at one Palace resort you can go to any of the other 4 in Cancun and eat or whatever you want to do. Food was very good and the all-inclusive is the way to go. The rooms were all very nice and so was everyone that worked at the resort. I liked the beach better at Moon Palace than at the other ones in downtown Cancun, also they have a HUGE pool with several bars around it and all kinds of activities. Good Luck!!
