Moon Palace--the beach

Help! Is the beach so terrible at moon palace that you would not return?

I visited the resort years ago and the beach was not appealing at all, full of seaweed, washed up on the sand and in the water. I know many who have stayed at MP and loved it but are not beach people. If you search here on "seaweed", you'll find recent comments. You can visit the beaches at the other palace resorts. My personal feeling is if I go to the Caribbean, I want to stay at a place with a nice beach. There are many such places in Cancun and PDC.

Sorry to say, it was not the beach that would keep me away...it's the STENCH of the sewer system. I didn't like the 'grounds' either. Acres of grass...hardly any trees. I'll never return to the Moon.

I agree with the stench comment - I was told it was from their on-site water treatment facility. I would NEVER go back. Beach does stink. Seaweed is extremely thick on the beach and in the water.

Talking with a friend who yesterday got back from Cancun. They stayed at Le Meridien and loved it; while there, they chatted with a family who'd been booked at the Moon Palace. Guy said he took one look at place and refused to stay there; called around and managed to book the last available room on Le Meridien.
