Monteverde attire help??
Hello again!
I've posted here once or twice before regarding this trip, i'm leaving for Costa Rica thursday morning, and i have one more last minute question. ;) We'll be staying in Monteverde for about 2 days, and i've heard it can get pretty chilly. Do you think a light cotton jacket wil be okay? I also have a rainjacket i'm bringing that could be layered over it...together should that be enough or should i bring something warmer? Thankyouthankyou!!! =D |
When we were there, I wore a sweatshirt with a zipped up fleece over it in the evenings - very cool and rainy during our trip. Our hotel actually had the fireplace going.

hmmm...i probably should bring something warmer then huh? I really would prefer not to freeze too muh lol. :)
The big problem i'm having right now is to focus on packing lol; i'm currently practically bouncing off the walls with excitement!!!!! It'll be my first time out of the country. And we actually have to leave tommorow (we're going to spend the night in town so we don't have to leave at 3am to get to the airport in time) so i have to get my packing and such done today sometime... |
Yep, I would tuck in a sweatshirt just in case. We met people who didn't bring anything like that, and they looked miserable. It was nice during the day - t-shirts and capris, etc. I guess better safe than sorry. Have a great trip!

We did not need any thing extra warm , when we were there a few weeks ago. I did wear long sleeves to dinner w/capris one night . I had my rain jacket w/me in case I needed long sleeves at night, but we were lucky, it was hot and only rained late afternoons for a short while. have fun!!

I would bring something warm. If you bring something old you can just leave it when you are done. We went to Guatemala in Feb. and had cool weather. I felt lucky that I had a pair of long pants and a polartech..

We were never cold in MV. Santa Elena was cool in the evening, but we all had a light jacket and the kids had their ever-present hoodies. Shorts and a jacket were fine.

We also had drenching rains while we were there, and I think that made it seem even more chilly. Hopefully you'll have better luck with the weather.
