I split it up, some in my back pack and some in my carry on. It's really not that bulky. Then, when we get to the hotel, we just take what we need for the day and leave the rest of the money in the hotel safe.

I experience the same thing with handbags as your wife :) I call mine the "bottomless pit".

Three weeks and counting my days until we arrive in BA!

owlwoman,

I'll be in BsAs in 18 days. Just trying to get my proverbial act together.

We're leaving on the 17th, will be in BA on the 18th for one night and then at the end of our trip, the 29/30 for two more nights, heading to El Calafate, Chaltan and Villa La Angostura this time. Our third trip.

You are going to love AR, especially the wines, I drink a lot of Malbecs now and have turned on my "cabernet" friends to them....Back in '05 after our first trip, we were finding them in restaurants in the low $20 range (bargain), now they are really being discovered and prices are creeping up! If you can have lunch at Altos, I highly recommend it, also if you can get a guide to take you to Carmen Pitti's wines (he makes them in a garage behind his house), it's very cool (I think he was mentioned in the article you linked awhile back).
