Mimos or Costa Verde - Manuel Antonio?

I am looking to stay in Manuel Antonio in either one of these hotels. Any recommendations from personal experiences or hearsay?

I am also looking at Villas Nicolas and Tulemar bungalows, but Costa Verde and Mimos look interesting.

Any advice?

Thanks so much in advance!!

A few folks we met in Quepos talked down Costa Verde. We heard that an American owns the facility and surrounding land. We were just in M.A. in early November and saw the clear-cutting of trees and an odd assortment of railroad cars and an Air Force plane (soon to be a tourist bar) all owned by Costa Verde (not very eco-friendly if you ask me). Villas Nicolas was quiet, very comfortable, and friendly, I'd recommend this place for anyone wanting the "condo" kind of lodging rather than a full service hotel.

I have heard that Villas Nicolas is a nice place, we were going to stay there if we had a 4 wheel drive to get there.
Good luck and have fun!
I gave lots of info. in the section "Is Costa Rica safe?"
Kim

Si Como No is a great place to stay. The bungaloos are very private, all with great views, the restaurant is really good, specially for breakfast.
Can't go wrong!
