Mexico City Airport Taxis & Turibus Tickets

Good Day FOdorites,

After research it appears I must transfer from my (MEX) arrival at Terminal 2, to Terminal 1 to catch a SITO taxi to my hotel near the Centro Historico. Also, I am considering a Turibus hop on hop "tour" as a good way to get from the Centro Historico to the Museo de Antropologica. Is there a ticket office at the airport for Turibus? Their web site claims there is. I assume it is in Terminal 1

Thank You

I took Turibus one day, it's a good thing for a day as Mexico City and its environs are huge. I mainly wanted it for the sightseeing up high and to go to some farther out suburbs, such as where Frida Kahlo's house is. I didn't use it for the anthropological museum as there is a close metro stop and there was no nbeed to, I did that another day as I knew I'd spend a lot of time in it, which I did. I don't usually do those Turibus type activities in any city if I know ther is some stop where I'm going to want to spend many hours. You can if you want, of course.

There isn't any reason whatsoever you need to buy a ticket at the airport, you can buy them on the bus.

I presume by SITO taxi you mean sitio which is just the name for an official taxi stand type taxi. There is a taxi company called SItio 300, but others too. There is no reason you need to go to T1 just to get a taxi,k there are taxis at both terminals, the taxi rank is near the entrance of the terminal. I don't know where you got that info that you have to change terminals? This explains where to go and has a map

Make sure to tell the taxi driver the exact address of your hotel or there is a good chance he will not be able to find it. Many taxis have no GPS and ours did not want to waste his phone time to look it up so we circled around and around. And the hotel was on the main street in Polanco, not tucked away somewhere on a small street. (Las Alcobas)
