Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and New Year to you too Percy and to everyone mentioned as well as those who were not!

P.S. Percy -- I think you sent the snow in the wrong direction. It landed here. ;-)

shillmac Dec 19th, 2008 02:14 PM

Merry Christmas, all! Percy, quit picking on me.

Eressea Dec 19th, 2008 02:19 PM

Happy holidays to all!

colibri Dec 19th, 2008 02:22 PM

Feliz Navidad, Fodor amigos! We actually had 4" of snow in Baton Rouge last week - that's the Christmas spirit!!

cmcfong Dec 19th, 2008 02:23 PM

How nice to be in such great company! Best wishes for Christmas to all of you.
I will be headed to Panama in January.

Buen viaje, mis amigos!

Jeff_Costa_Rica Dec 19th, 2008 02:27 PM

Ooooh, Percy, very nice touch with the red title. Thank you and Merry Christmas to everyone here at good old Fodors. Hanukkah starts Sunday night too. A wonderful holiday to everyone.

volcanogirl Dec 19th, 2008 02:48 PM

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! And may 2009 bring us lots of good travels!

Percy, you can send me some snow too!

Percy Dec 19th, 2008 06:24 PM

The snow is on the way volcanogirl.

When the postman brings a wet soggy package that will be the snow ...melting :)

shillmac Dec 19th, 2008 06:58 PM

Tully and I just had dinner together! Of course, this thread was one of the conversation topics! And a certain little country about the size of West Virginia. . . :)

Percy Dec 19th, 2008 07:26 PM

Thanks shillmac ,it is soooooo nice to be loved ! O:)

janenicole Dec 20th, 2008 04:29 AM

I've been lurking, lately, but want to say thanks and Merry Christmas to Percy and everyone else!

costaricalover Dec 20th, 2008 06:23 AM

And happy christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa, whatever you celebrate, to all of you! I don't know what I'd do without my hit of Fodors every day. I confess to lurking quite a bit, but I do promise an in-depth trip report of my Costa Rica trip/wedding in February. Thanks to all, this board is priceless!!
P.S. Here in Port Hope(an hour east of Toronto)we've got at least 15 cm of the white soggy stuff and the sun is shining brilliantly.Beautiful!
Sandy from Port Hope, Ontario

hopefulist Dec 20th, 2008 06:40 AM

We're really stuck - more than a foot of heavy snow in an area that receives less than 12 inches of precipitation annually. And I thought I couldn't dream any harder about my return to Guatemala and Belize this summer!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone!

gannetmusic Dec 20th, 2008 07:25 AM

And for the Druids among us, happy Winter Solstice! It is quite fascinating how many of our "Christmas Traditions" are directly taken from the druids.

cheers

Jerry

Percy Dec 20th, 2008 05:44 PM

Hi janenicole.

I lurk a lot too.....then every once in a while I come out of the woodwork :)

Merry Christmas

volcanogirl Dec 20th, 2008 06:50 PM

Happy Holidays! :)

Percy Dec 20th, 2008 07:17 PM

Hi Everyone

Sandy ............. I see on the National news that Toronto is getting another wallop of snow.

and the midwest USA has its fair share!

hopefulist:

You have to keep hoping !

Volcanogirl .......since your time zone is an hour ahead of mine..it is bedtime for you :)

volcanogirl Dec 20th, 2008 07:21 PM

Percy, we went to the theater tonight, and I had Starbuck's, so I'm going to be awake for a loooong time!

costaricalover Dec 21st, 2008 04:08 AM

Percy...wallop is an understatement! Just digging out from the last storm, and last night it starts all over again! But my philosophy is as follows: Let it snow, let it be the coldest, most wretched winter in history, cuz I'm going to CR in February!!!!

tully Dec 21st, 2008 05:02 AM

Percy I believe that snow got mis-directed to the NE, it's high 70's here, though a front is moving in tonight and it will only reach 65 tomorrow! :) See I arranged this weather special for shillmac so she could enjoy nice sunny FL for her visit ;)

Warm 8-) wishes to all the fodorites here that make it such a great little community.

shillmac Dec 21st, 2008 06:04 AM

Thanks, Tully! We have really enjoyed the beautiful Florida weather this week. What a treat! See, Percy, someone else is working on my weather, too! :)

Tully. . .I found WAY too much to buy at the market yesterday. What a fun place!

From me, too, everyone, on this Christmas Sunday morning. . .Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and may the New Year bring peace, prosperity (we can only hope), and exciting and safe travels for all!

Still hoping several of you will make plans to join some of us at the Fodor's GTG at Bosque del Cabo June 25-July 2! Come on down! ;)

janenicole Dec 21st, 2008 06:30 AM

Or, if you need to get away from winter weather (like I do), come to a mini-get together at Bosque del Cabo March 7-12. There will only be three fodorites there that I know of, so come on people, plan a spur of the moment trip! Is there anyone out there lurking that will be there at that time?

Percy Dec 21st, 2008 10:47 AM

janenicole:

I see on TV how much snow Toronto got over night...Wow !!

costaricalover::

You lucky dog...heading to Costa Rica in February !

tully....you sure know how to hurt a guy, with your weather forecast. :)

Okay shillmac,I thought I was your one and only number one weatherman!

Has tully ever given you the weather I did when you were in Costa Rica!! :)

shhhhh...... volcanogirl is still sleeping, she got to bed late after all that Starbuck coffee. ~o)

janenicole Dec 22nd, 2008 04:26 AM

Percy, I am actually just outside Minneapolis - it is hard to keep track of everyone's location! Not only am I dealing with snow, but it was -19 degrees F when I woke up this morning! I have to endure two
more months of this misery, then I will get the great reward of going to Costa Rica!

Percy Dec 22nd, 2008 10:47 AM

janenicole

I see on CNN news how cold it is in the Midwest and the Northern States.

Just have a warm Christmas and hopefully January and February will go quickly!!!

By the time March comes along Bosque del Cabo will be that much sweeter.!

I think of all those poor people that wanted to get away for Christmas and they are stuck at various airports.

I hope they reach their destination soon and enjoy some sunshine and warm weather !

I will be shovelling snow along with you also janenicole !:

parrmt Dec 22nd, 2008 11:42 AM

Somehow, when I saw the red greeting I knew it was from Percy. hahahaah. Merry Christmas to you all. I really do wish you all a safe, healthy, happy Christmas and of course a prosperous new year!
