Mayan Riveria Hotel Suggestions

I'm planning my next getaway for the winter of 2003. I have been to Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen, however, would like to know if there are any nice places to stay further south of Playa. Want peace and quiet, beautiful beach, not extremely pricey. Thanks for any input..

Puerto Aventuras sounds perfect for you. We stayed at the Omni Puerto Aventuras Beach Club and it was wonderful. They had the best beach in all of Puerto Aventuras! Excellent hotel, peacful and beautiful!

Akumal Beach Club or Gran Sole Real.
El Dorado Resort and Spa ( if all over 18) are 3 good choices.
All 3 are All-inclusive

I agree about Akumal Beach Resort - lovely beach, quiet, not too big, resonably priced but ask for a superior room. We enjoyed our stay there.

Ditto on Omni Puerto Aventuras Beach Club!! Truly a wonderful, quaint resort! Excellent beach, service and food! Won't stay anywhere else! Check out their website for more info, photos and a virtual tour. www.omnihotels.com
