Mayan Palace Membership
 

Can anyone help me gather info on a Mayan Palace membership? What are the prices? What should I keep in mind when purchasing? <BR> <BR>I was at the MP in Neuvo Vallarta in June and loved it and am thinking about becoming a member.

MP is lovely -- but it ISN'T Mexican. For far less money, you can purchase comparable property in US and trade it for anywhere you want. <BR>We go to PV because we like Mexico, the Mexican people and the culture. The Mayan Palace is incredibly Americanized. <BR>Why bother?

There is a timeshare users group www.tug2.net lots of good advice and reviews and very educational a must read is Timehshare 101. Then there is www.timeshare-guru.com I took a look at the resales and found a unit under Tri West for MP @ $8900 a bit expensive when I compared it to the other buys out there. There's lots of bargains out there for the savy shopper.

We became members in Dec. <BR>The price was about the same as what we paid for our other timeshare week in Caymans. ..about 10K. <BR>Be sure to negotiate with them, they kept sweetening the pot the longer we held out.

Is the Mayan Palace kid freindly?
