Mayan Palace/Grand Mayan: Mayan Riviera???

Looking for a beachfront luxury 2BR condo in the Mayan Riviera for mid-March, 2005. Considering Mayan Palace/Grand Mayan. Looking for candid feedback from Fodorites who know this property! What do you think????

Why don't you try locogringo.com - they book many condos and villas along the Mayan Riviera...plus they are experts in the area!!!

I would be careful re. the Mayan Palace; there's a lot of timeshare sales pressure there, which I would hate.

I stayed at the Mayan Palace, Riviera Maya in Nov.2004. It is very large, with all kinds of services, very clean and very expensive. You are paying for everything. It has 5 pools bigger than a football field, excellent restaurants and is on the beach. You need a car. Very upscale if that is what you want. Well kept grounds, with master golf course. Hope this helps.
