Maroma Resort & Spa food

I am planning a trip to Maroma and I have never been to Mexico. Is this THE place to go? Anyhow, do I have to be cautious about the food and water? i am just thinking in terms of vegetables and ice in my drinks.

Thanks!

At a place like Maroma, you really do not need to worry about water; they should surely use purified water in all food prep and ice making.

Maroma looks like a great place to stay. It was between Maroma and Ikal del Mar for us and we choose Ikal. Maroma looks like it has a better beach. What are you looking on your vacation?

Thanks. I want a nice/peaceful beach with wonderful food and service. Has anyone else eaten at Maroma before?

Haven't stayed at the Maroma but hear only good things. It is the hotel where British PM Tony Blair and family spent their last vacation so that must say a lot about the quality of the place!

Just watched a show on the Travel Channel this past weekend titled "The Top Ten Beach Resorts in the Caribbean" and Maroma was #1 - that should answer your question!

FYI - the beach there truly is AWESOME.

Thanks everyone! So, I will be fine with eating the food?

SHARI---I APPEAR TO BE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS BEEN TO MAROMA, AND MY ANSWER IS YES--YOU WILL LOVE THE RESORT ITSELF AS WELL AS THE FOOD.....YOU GET BREAKFAST WITH YOUR ROOM, AND IT IS VERY, VERY GOOD. THE STAFF IS TRULY WONDERFUL --SOME NAMES---ROMAN, CEASAR, ESPECIALLY HELPFUL AND GREAT ---IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL OCCASION THEY WILL PUT YOUR TABLE ALONE ON THE BEACH , AND IT'S A BALL ! IN THE EVENING THEY LIGHT SOMETHING LIKE 2,000 CANDLES ALL OVER THE PROPERTY---AND I FORGOT---OUTSIDE OF EVERY ROOM IS A SMALL SHELF--EACH MORNING THEY PUT COFFEE-OR-TEA ON THIS SHELF FOR YOU TO ENJOY BEFORE YOU GO TO BREAKFAST---IN SUMMARY---YOU"LL LOVE IT !!!!
