MarnieWDC - Return trip to USA (sigh)

RETURN TRIP:

We called WorldCar (with our 20% discount return card) who arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled - had to hand over the keys to 'our' apartment (but not without tears. The drive to EZE took one hour (Friday, rush hour).

EZE was not too crowded it only took about 1 1/2 hours until we were through everything (but I would still allow another hour or hour 1/2 as it took longer last year - and then you can have a snack or buy good wine to take home!) Yes Happi, I am another one of those!

DO REMEMBER:
*Pick up the CUSTOMS FORMS at the Check-In counter to fill in before you complete the passport control.

*You can pay the DEPARTURE TAXES - STILL ONLY $18 US - pay in pesos, dollars or credit) at one of several booths as you head toward the Gates.

*If you buy liquids to take home (wine, perfume dulce de leche) you cannot take it through the final checkers unless you buy it at one of the many DUTY FREE stands, with your Boarding Pass, to be waiting for you at Boarding. Then your task is to remember to take it off the plane after a long travel night! And then to be sorry you didn't buy twice as much wine!!!

Scarlett: We will not buy a place in BsAs, but if pattern counts, we should be looking at renting for ~ 2 months next year - and yes, Flintstones - Giena, Salta will definely be in the plans - we will be calling...

And once again, MIL GRACIAS to Fodors Argentina Forum POSTERS, experts and just plain folks, for all your excellent ideas and support.

Now, let's see what we can do with this US economy!!!

Suerte, ~MarnieWDC & DH

GREAT info, Marnie!

Your reports should be required reading for any tourist coming to Argentina!

Maybe drdawggy, who is a professor, can quiz the candidates. LOL!!!

The time flew, I am glad you will be here longer next summer... I printed out all of your excursions for us to follow :- )

Marnie: I really enjoyed reading your reports of your stay in Buenos Aires. I know that our recent stay of only 3 full days was woefully short. Your reports have only teased me into returning some day to spend more time, and not be so rushed to see things.
Like any big city in the world, there is much to do and see. Hopefully, we'll return for more wonderful experiences in one of the great cities of the world.
Gotta keep travellin'!!
