Manuel Antonio hotels in Costa Rica

We will be in CR in Feb. and will be in MA around the 5th of Feb. We were thinking of staying at Costa Verde, but noticed some bad reviews on chat room. Any suggestions as to a good hotel in that area? Thanks!!

I've stayed at Costa Verde twice and always had nice stays. I know some have run into indifferent employees at times, I guess that's just luck of the draw. The views from CV are really some of the best in MA, especially vs. price.

Others that get good reviews are Si Como No, Tulemar & Villas Nicolas.

Ditto on the attitude issues. In visiting with the owner, it all became clear--he had his own issues! That said, it is an exceptional value with exceptional views! :)

Find the hotel a great value as well. We ran into some "indifference" with reception staff as well. Restaurant staff, groundskeepers, cleaning staff, all great and some going out of their way to be sweet and helpful, the 1 or 2 at the frontdesk do not deter me.

Jill, have had some interesting chats with Allan myself.

The thing that bugged me was his negative comments about other hotel owners in the country. While his observations may (or may not) be based on valid information, I found it highly unprofessional.

we ended up meeting one of the bartenders in a local bar one night, his comment on the owner was ´picha´

Yikes, careful, he could read this, thus getting bartender in trouble!!
