Manuel Antonio Hotels

Hello- Can anyone provide any opinions/advice about Hotel Arboleda (on the beach), Villas El Parque, Villas Nicolas, Costa Verde or Hotel Byblos? My research (and it may be wrong) shows that I can walk to Playa Espadilla to surf from any of these hotels. Is this correct? Do all of these hotels offer great ocean views as well? I will be there in June, but am still looking to spend less then $100/nt. Thanks.

You could be in an efficiency unit at Costa Verde , with an amazing view for 65.00 per night . Villas Nicolas is very nice , great views , super rooms . Villas Del Parque is not what it once was .

Sorry ! Posted too soon . Byblos is o.k. and opposite Villas Nicolas , which is next to El Parque . Not really walking distance . Arboleda is opposite Costa Verde , closer to the beach , but still a walk , and Costa Verde is nicer IMHO . The D-Unit efficiency unit is great .

Hi Faith,
What do you mean by Villa El Parque is not what is used to be? We are thinking of staying there during Christmas because it doesn't have the 7 night requirement the others do. I do want a nice place, especially since I keep hearing about the huge crowds at Christmas and want to be able to escape to our hotel if necessary!!!!
Thanks for any info.
Jayne

In the past Villas Nicolas ( Really Nice ) and Villas el Parque were owned by the same owners , two brothers from Canada . (pretty certain ) Now , Villas el Parque has new ownership and supposedly is not as well kept . We actually stayed there on our honeymoon 10 yrs ago and it was really sweet , with incredible views . Villas Nicolas is just a few steps down the road . When we saw Villas el Parque in November it looked a little worn out , and I actually overheard a few people talking about it , saying basically the same thing . Hopefully more people will reply with more info. for you , but it is not mentioned much here . They sell some of the units as condos now , and owners have changed them , and it looks like a hodge podge of styles now . Sad , it was a great spot ... Wait for more input though . Faith .

Sorry , What I meant by " wait for more input " , is that someone could reply who has stayed recently and found it perfectly fine .

We just got back from Hotel Costa Verde and had an excellent experience and would certainly go back. We stayed up the hill toward the back of the property which was fine for us. The room was in a duplex type unit and was large and comfortable. Everything was clean. The anaconda restaurant was very good and a decent value too. the facility has 3 pools (1 adult only). You can't go wrong at the CV.
