Manuel Antonio and Arenal hotel - Help!

We are debating staying at Si Como No in a superior room or at Costa Verde II in a studio plus room. Can anyone recommend either of these and their experience?

Also, in Arenal we are debating between Arenal Paraiso and Lost Iguana - any feedback on those?

Thanks.

I posted a review of the Lost Iguana on Trip Advisor last month. The title is something like "Absolutely gorgeous...and a bit of a pain."

The LI is a very beautiful place...sitting on the patio in the early morning, looking at the birds and the flowers and and the volcano, listing to the monkeys and the birds...truly one of the highlights of the last few years! However, if you don't have a car, all that beauty may not be enough to compensate for lots of walking up steep roads.

Thanks for the feedback on LI - we are renting a 4x4 so should be ok there. Anybody able to provide input on Si Como No or Costa Verde. thanks.

I'm partial to CV myself, but haven't stayed at SCN so can't compare. The studio plus rooms at CV have awesome views which was enough to lure me back there twice.

How was the CVII without A/C? I was afraid it would get warm at night without A/C. thanks.

I stayed in the studio plus in bldg B, so those have a/c. Once was late May, the other early June. That said, the a/c ran way too cold for me even at low and after 1st night I just left it off and was fine. There are ceiling fans & usually a nice breeze.

Arenal Paraiso is fantastic. Just excellent service, beautiful grounds, conveniently located and ample amenities. Similarly, Costa Verde.

Have stayed at both hotels Costa Verde and Arenal Paraiso and enjoyed both of them. As Tully mentioned in the above post Costa Verde Building B has air conditioning and a beautiful view. Hotel Paraiso has individual cabins that when Arenal erupts you are able to see it through the glass window or sitting on the porch. I have no experience with Lost Iguana or Si Como No so I cannot comment on them.

Is there road noise at CV II? I have heard this so just checking... thanks. Also, is the staff helpful in helping with tours, activities, etc.

Hi,
We just got back and stayed in a superior room at Si Como no and it was beautiful. We had a small balcony with two chairs that overlooked the ocean. I have only seen Costa Verde from the outside and have heard it's nice and might be a little cheaper than Si Como No.

we stayed at Arenal paraiso and LOVED IT!!!!!!!
we also stayed at Costa verde in an efficiency in building C and loved it too because it's an easy walk to the restaurants and the pools.
