Manuel Antonio advise
 

We are going to MA on Presidents day for a Bachlorette weekend. We are a group of 10 girls and we are looking for spas, beach and then some adventure. Can anyone give us any recomendations for where to go out, where to eat, where to stay, ect. Also has anyone done a waterfall canyoning tour?

We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast called Mango Moon. Other popular spots are Costa Verde, Villas Nicolas, and Si Como No. Our favorite spots to eat were Ronnie's Place/Mi Lugar, Salsipuedes, Barba Roja, and Cafe Agua Azul. Go early for dinner if you want to enjoy the famous MA sunsets over drinks. The beach inside Manuel Antonio National Park is the nicest - you can also hike through the park and see a lot of wildlife like capuchins and sloths. We took a guided tour there and saw a lot of things that we would not have seen on our own.

You can also go sailing, snorkeling (not very good though), take a mangrove tour, zipline, horseback ride - it's really a pretty Americanized town and easy to get around. Have fun!

Thanks so much for you advise. we are only there for 4 nights so we thought that going to one place would be best. Do you thing MA was a good choice? is there much of a night life?

Yes, with only 4 nights, you'll definitely want to stay in one place; it takes time to travel around Costa Rica. You guys will want to relax and enjoy it. I think it's a good choice for what you guys are doing. Costa Rica is not really known for its nightlife. You end up getting up at 5:30 a.m. because the sun is up, and the monkeys are birds start getting really noisy. Despite your best efforts, you may end up turning in early. I went with my husband, so we really just had romantic dinners, drinks, watched sunsets, etc. but I remember seeing a couple of places that had live music. And there was something called the "Batcave" that looked like it might be a club or something similar - maybe someone else can help you with that. It's not really a huge town, but it does offer a lot of restaurant choices, etc. Congratulations to the bride - being married is awesome, and this is a great way to start off.

I don't have any information regarding a spa, but maybe if you do a search for Manuel Antonio and spa, something may come up for you. The town of Quepos is not that far away either.

There is a place called Sea Glass Spa, only seen the sign, never visited the place. La Cantina by Costa Verde Hotel usually has a reggae or steel drum band and the food is delish. I've always stayed at Costa Verde hotel...not sure what you're looking for room wise with 10 women.
