Manuel Antonio Accommodation

Can anyone recommend mid-priced accommodation for my husband and I that is relatively near to the beach at Manuel Antonio? We don't want to totally rough it but we don't want to go to a high priced resort either. soemthing in the middle would be good. Any help would be much appreciated!

Cabinas Espadilla is in mid range and not far from beach and restaurants. See location on Manuel Antonio Map

Costa Verde is very popular.

We're staying at Cabinas Espadillas next Spring (also Hotel Espadillas is next door). They have pretty reasonable rates and include a/c and kitchenettes. I guess they also have a private biological reserve next to the park, not sure what this means regarding wildlife or just more hiking trails in addition to the park which is right there.

Villas Nicolas is another one you may want to check out.

I loved both Costa Verde and Villas Nicolas :)

Stay in La Posada. Huge rooms for the money, and very nice staff who will go out of their way to help you ( the owner even picked up bus tickets for us on his way through Quepos). It is also a short walk to the beach and to the national park as well. Can't go wrong here!

I've also stayed in Cabinas Espadilla, and was less than impressed. Not-so-friendly staff, and our room had a broken window and an uncomfortable bed. The place is well-landscaped, though.

My vote for Villas Nicolas, Costa Verde then La Posada Jungle...

Seriously, nothing like drinking your cuppa morning coffee with that view!

PLus, the 5 minutes it takes by bus to get to the beach for .23 cents is kinda fun.

Thank you for these recommendations. I will try them all to see if any have accommodation for this December.

impala, I hope you're able to find something you like - seems like things are booking up very early nowadays, and December is very popular. Let us know where you end up.

Hotel California a good choice, as well.

Has anyone stayed in the studio apartment next door to the hotel Villas Nocholas?
