Manuel Antonia or Arenal? -6 nights w/toddlers

We will be traveling for 6 nights at Thanksgiving with our parents and kids who will be 3 & 5. I would love to do both locations but am concerned 5-6 hours in the car may be a bit long for such a short trip.

So we are trying to decide between the two. We want a place thatís kids friendly, has good restaurants and is picturesque for photography.

We are looking to stay somewhere upscale with amenities. We have a group of 7
Any suggestions would be helpful!

Have you checked Tulemar Bungalows? That's a great spot in Manuel Antonio - lots of wildlife there like sloths and monkeys, and they have their own beach which most hotels in the area don't have. The national park has a beautiful beach, lots of wildlife, etc. Good infrastructure in the area, and you'll have air conditioning, etc. All the units we've stayed in have had a kitchen which comes in handy. Good open air restaurants nearby like Barba Roja, Cafe Agua Azul, and Cafe Milagro. Rates might be crazy high at holiday time.
