Managua hotel

We're looking for a quiet, nice hotel not too far from the airport for our first and last night in Managua. We'll be arriving late and leaving early, so no time to do much other than sleep. Traveling with a young child, so we really need a quiet place. I've been looking at places like Casa Naranja, but am concerned it's a long drive. Anyone know? Any suggestions?

We ended up just staying at the Best Western, which is truly right across the street from the airport. The first night, the hotel came and picked us up. After that, we just walked.

Walking probably isn't an option for you, though, with a child in tow.

It's not a bad hotel, we never heard any noise. Good breakfast (included).

We generally avoid chain hotels, but, we weren't there very long, and it was very convenient.

Ok thanks Jean. Considering going there or Camino Real. Hate the idea of staying at a chain, but for a night or two, we might just need to!

I agree with Jean. You can't get any closer to the airport than right across the street. It's officially the Best Western La Mercedes.

"Las Mercedes" that should be.

Ok thanks- considering Camino Real as a possible better option? With our bags and a 6 year old, we'll most likely not be walking anywhere anyway and they have a shuttle! Have you been there, Jeff? Thanks!

Either will be fine and close to the airport. The Camino Real is nicer, but BW is certainly acceptable.

ok thanks Jeff!
