Managua hotel

I need to stay in Managua my last night in Nicaragua as I have an early am flight. Any suggestions? I am looking at the Best Western just because it's so close to the airport but I would love any other ideas..I don't want to feel like vacation is over on our last night. Thanks

me again, lol. Haven't booked yet but I'm leaning mostly to the Crowne Plaza - a nice way to ease back into life after "roughing it" ;) at Morgan's Rock. I looked at the BW but the Crowne is not a whole lot more and not too much further from the airport (my flt leaves at 7am - eek!)

Maybe Jeff will chime in with some ideas....

Hello,
I really don't want to stay at the Best Western either... but our flight is even earlier..6:45.
I saw the Hotel Casa Narajna on trip advisor and it looks lovely.. I just don't know how easy it would be to get a transfer to the airport that early.
Where's Jeff?

How about the Hilton Princess Managua?

It's 8km from the airport -- not sure if they provide transport, though.

Good luck -- hope that helps!

Jeff has at long last been sprung from Nicaragua. No, seriously, I love the country, but this was a rough trip because of the electricity situation.

My favorite hotel in Managua is Los Robles, on a quiet residential street near the Metrocentro mall and several great restaurants.

Small place, just 14 rooms. You'd be about 20-30 minutes from the airport.

There's nothing wrong with the Best Western. It's a modern hotel across the street from the airport. It takes two minutes to walk there. But it's not that much different than a BW anywhere else, except with a lot of lush greenery.

Thanks for your replies. I think I will end up arriving late to the Best Western and have the convenience of sleeping 20 more minutes in the morning..Our flight is at 6:45 so it will be a very early morning for us.

I think you made a good choice, ttraveler. If you're getting in late the night before you fly out, and have to get up way before dawn the next morning, it doesn't really matter where you stay. You'll be able to walk to the airport.
