MA on a Monday

I understand the park is closed on Mondays and was wondering what else there could be to fill my day. I really wanted to end my trip in MA, but I may have to flip flop my itinerary and do MA, Monteverde, Arenal rather than Arenal, Monteverde, MA.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Check out the Finca Valmy horseback riding tour. Gets great reviews.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just came across Vinca Valmy while I was reading through some other posts. I'm game to try almost anything.

Also there is white water rafting, and kayaking, and sailing, and fishing. And the Rainmaker (suspension bridges) would be a choice.

Yes you will find plenty to fill your day.

Mangrove tour is great. Titi zipline in Quepos is fun.

dfarmer - Rainmaker - absolutely yes - saw that on Amazing Race the other day.

wherenext - Mangrove tour - I live in Florida and we are up to our eyeballs in mangroves, swamps, and swampy critters. But we will definitely be doing the zip lines. Do you know if the zip lines here are bigger/faster than at Monteverde. I hear Sky Trek in Monteverde is pretty awsome. Would also like to know if Monteverde Sky Trek is better than Arenal Sky Trek, and when I say better, I mean bigger, higher and faster.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I did not do Monteverde but I think it will be bigger and faster than the one in Quepos. I have heard that Arenal and Monteverde may have been just more. Ours was very fun and some very long but not hair raising.

Coming from CA, Mangrove was fun. Looked very Jurassic park. Saw little anteaters, monkeys, Boas etc...in addition to crocs.

wherenext - well, we don't have those critters here. Would love to see an anteater. How cool! We'll have to consider. Thanks.
