Low cost carriers to Latin America?

Low cost carriers to Latin America?
DH and I are considering a short week vacation in April to Latin or South America but the airfares are about as high, or higher, than flying to Europe! I did find Spirit Airlines while researching this board, and the prices are several hundred dollars lower to places like Guatamala and Honduras than I have previously seen. I'm trying to figure out if there are any more airlines out there that offer similar lower cost flights to these areas.

We live in Charlotte, but would be willing to drive to surrounding airports (Raleigh, Atlanta) for the right deal. The flights I found on Spirit Airlines were from Atlanta.

Here's a little trick that might help. . .
Flights to Latin America tend to be even cheaper from Miami. You may find that booking separate round trip flights Charlotte-Miami and Miami-Guy are cheaper than the one from Atlanta (and give you the option of stay some time in Miami, too!).
Still probably won't beat the Atlanta price, if you would rather drive there.
