Los Angeles Cloud Reserve?
I will be in Costa Rica for the first time in January and unfortunately won't be able to make Monteverde this trip. I will have time to stop at the Los Angeles Cloud Reserve (it seems to be more accesible), anyone know anything about it? Is it worth a stop?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm just posting because you haven't heard from anyone else. Surely someone has spent some time there. We've driven through many times. It is beautiful as is the entire country. I think you would have a great time with any activities you plan there. We have spent time in cloud forests south of San Jose (haven't been to Monteverde), and it's all wonderful! A great alternative if you don't have time to work Monteverde into your plans. If I were you, I wouldn't hesitate to plan time in the LA Cloud Forest. When you get there, you'll see why!

Okay, this has nothing to do - except for the purpose of topping your thread in hopes of a reply...
Has anyone else seen the Puma shoe commercial on NBC where about two dozen Blue Morpho Butterflies carry the shoe out of the frame of the screen? Great footage. Stunning color saturation.
Between the recipes posted on the other thread, and this commercial - I'm being drawn once more to CR...
Sigh, we have to schedule CR after our planned trips to NOLA and Vegas. (Have to expunge my cheesy humor before getting back to roots and nature, right?)

We heard other people comment about Monteverde Cloud Forest being crowded before we went in January. But it wasn't crowded at all--while exploring the reserve, we saw very few others. Maybe it just happened to be a couple of slow days?
