Hey AVRooster
I couldn't find "The REAL Buenos Aires thread" anywhere on this site. I'm not very adept here I guess. But we're staying at the Loi Suites Arenales from Sunday, Dec 7 until Wednesday afternoon, Dec 10. We know nothing of this hotel except it supposedly has a great location and is in need of remodeling. We switched to this one after the budget crunch. Mine is [email protected] |
I'll let you in on a little secret, Todd: click on my screen name and scroll down until you find that thread.
But I'll write to your e-mail anyway. |
Not sure how this will affect Aerolineas (maybe it will be for the good), but whether and in what form Aerolineas will be flying a few months from now is an open question, see below:
BUENOS AIRES, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Argentina's government has decided to seize the country's top airline, Aerolineas Argentinas, because talks with the current owners over a price have broken down, a leading newspaper reported on Thursday. http://www.reuters.com/article/merge...42485420081023 |
My advice is and will be to avoid Aerolíneas whenever possible.
In fact, I would suggest avoiding the destinations served only by Aerolíneas, or plan to go there by bus. In our leading newspaper today: http://www.lanacion.com.ar/nota.asp?nota_id=1062855 The article also says the local airport will be closed for repairs from Saturday (tomorrow) until Monday. Flights should take off from the international airport. So, check with your airline. Have a great time in our country and try to avoid Aerolíneas, at least for the time being. |
