Lodging near Poas Volcano

The Poas volcano lodge is full the night we want to be there. What other lodging options are there?

Thanks.

Here are a one I found in my files
copied and pasted.

Lagunillas Lodge ( 506/389-5842, $$), a rustic but enchanting set of bungalows 2.5 km/1.5 miles before the park entrance. Drive down the rutted dirt road through their dairy farm until you come to the main lodge.

Also you may be able to just drop in at some other local places not on the web and find a decent room.

Here is a few more I found

Juanbo Mountain Resort (482-20-99), and La Providencia Ecological Reserve (232-24-98). These are all quaint lodgings, set on working dairy farms and with views of pretty, rolling hills. The most economical choice is the Lo que tu quieras (whatever you want) cabins, which offer three small cabinas with hot water and a restaurant (482-20-92).

The Peace Lodge is pretty close to the Poas Volcano, and it's a wonderful place to stay, almost an attraction in its own right.

This is the last place we need a room. How likely are we going to be able to drop in and find one? We will be there on a Wednesday and not arriving until approximately 4 or 5 pm.

I don't know and I have always reserved all our rooms well in advance when we go to Costa Rica. Many seem to do well and save $ by just dropping in when they need a room. Especially at the more moderate to budget places.
It may be better to call the places when you get to Costa Rica and reserve a room.

I know, but I can't justify the cost for one night for the Peace Lodge

Doka Coffee Estate has a bed and breakfast that sounds nice. We did the coffee tour and loved it -- and you know that the coffee the will serve for breakfast will be the best :)
