Lima Hotels
Hi,
I'm looking at hotels for my trip to Peru at the end of April. I think I've narrowed the hotel choices to Leon de Oro and Hotel Antigua Miraflores. I'm leaning towards Leon de Oro but was wondering if anybody had any comments on them before the final decision is made. Thanks! |
Antigua Miraflores or
Casa Andina Classic for me www.tripadvisor.com has reviews decidedly mixed on Leon D'Oro in terms of service location and modernity... |
We stayed at Hotel Antigua Miraflores in April 07. It was a nice hotel with reasonable rates and helpful staff. We stayed in a larger room that looked out over the courtyard--nothing fancy but nice. U ordered breafast off a menu and it were good. One of the mornings the breakfast room was a bit crowded and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The Hotel staff was supposed to pick us up when we arrived for no charge from the Lima Airport. There was some kind of mix-up and we never found them them at the airport. Had no problem getting in a cab and the Hotel reimbursed us for the fare. We walked around the area Miraflores from the hotel. It was maybe a 15 minute walk to the heart of Miraflores where the parc and big shopping center is. There is a nice bar restaurant about 2-3 blocks right down the street.

Thanks for the replies. I tried looking into Casa Andina Classic, but it wasn't listed in my Fodors book nor on Trip Advisor.

Casa Andina Classic is just the name of that level of Casa Andina. They are listed on TripAdvisor, etc, by their location-Casa Andina Miraflores Centro, etc. The Casa Andina chain has two levels-Classic and Private Collection, which in Lima is a LOT more expensive than their Classic hotels. |
Hi, I am from Peru. When my boyfriend now husband used to go to visit me.. We used to stay in The San Martin Hotel.. They are small apartments.. It's in Miraflores, nice street.
