Learning to Tango!
Are we crazy to think we can go to a milongas or anywhere else to try and do the Tango? We'd really like to try and learn a bit of it, but won't have time to do any intensive course.
Is there anywhere we could go to have a good time and learn to do the basic tango? |
I don't have an answer for you, Ms. President, except that maybe you could do some research in the "other place" and then ask some more specific questions there.
|
Oh come on AV, you mean you don't know where we could go??? LOL
Ok, I'll check out the 'other' place. How can we visit BsAs and not try the tango??? |
They say it takes two to Tango..:)momssk may have the answer for Kodi, AV.
I have sent Susan's excellent trip report to the top... raquel |

kodi, if you type milonga into the search box on TripAdvisor, you will get pages and pages discussing Tango shows and milongas. Above is one that has a few ideas you might like .. Good luck~ |
In addition to the link above,,,
Confiteria Ideal is a good place to take a lesson during the day.... http://www.confiteriaideal.com/ On Friday night, try la Viruta out in Palermo Viejo. Reserve a table in advance, enjoy a meal and Malbec, take a group dancing lesson and practice away to your heart's content....Sets of Tango are spaced between old time rock or salsa or whatever..... http://www.lavirutatango.com/ |
Thank you all so much. It seems I should visit the 'other' forum more often. I will do that.
Drdawggy, the place you are recommending might just be the answer for us. A group lesson sounds good , since we will be two women on our own. We can take turns being the guy! |
Kodi, take turns being the guy or bat your eylashes at one of the dashing
Argentinos and await an invitation to dance. :) |
Ah, an even better plan!!
