Hi suze! The class is through Seattlelanguages.com. They offer several weekend classes at different levels, which works better for me than a night class. This particular class starts tomorrow and is 2 hour sessions for 5 weeks and is offered near U Village. Are you looking for a refresher?

I just reread my first post and see that I apparently edited out the program I admire most: Learning Spanish Like Crazy. http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Spani.../dp/0976666103

As I mentioned, it would be great coupled with a book like Spanish for Dummies.

Muchas gracias for the details of your Seattle class. "Refresher" is not exactly how I'd put it (unfortunately). I just like to keep adding to the little I know.

What caught my eye was that the class was aimed at traveler skills. Those classes seem to give me more useful skills than when I've taken a credited 'Spanish 101' type class.

For others reading... I think it's easiest to learn to 1) read Spanish, then 2) understand as it is spoken to you, hardest to 3) speak it yourself!

I agree that reading is easiest, but for me it's more difficult to understand what I'm hearing than to figure out what to say. I'm an old dog learning new tricks and my processing time is too slow. Improving, though! Great excuse to keep heading back to CA!!
