Layover in San Salvador
Hello,
I am going to Peru in October (from California) and booked a flight with a 2 hour layover in san salvador. The flight there is with Taca then with Trans American from there to Lima. Coming home is a 5 hour layover with Trans American from lima to San salvador then Taca from San salvador to SFO. I have seen other forum posts that say if you have a "Taca to Taca" layover, you'll have no problem catching your connection and won't have to go through customs there in san salvador.
Can anyone shed some light on whether we may have a different experience since we will be changing airlines?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

7 Hours In El Salvador
On my way to Belize, I'll have 7 hours before my connecting flight from SAL.
Any suggestions on how to use the time locally, with reference to accessibility, travel, safety, cost, etc. would be appreciated.
