LAX-Santiago - AA, LAN or Delta?
Going to Santiago for work.
Have been given the choice of business class on AA, LAN or Delta. Travel times are similar, with change of planes in Dallas, Atlanta and Lima respectively. Would appreciate opinions about which airline is the best for this route. |
I like the Delta business between US and Europe, , I have never tried it between the US and South America. For my experience American and United 's business between US and Latin American do not match their North Atlantic business. It is like they are not so good in the South American Market. Having said this I like the Lan's business class.

I'd post this in the airline forum and what they say.

Thanks, guys. Will post on the airlines board.
Flew back from Asia on AA business - not terrible, but not so great compared to JAL. LAN gets mixed reviews on flyertalk. And Delta is a slightly longer flight. |
Yeah, a domestic airline isn't going to compare well with any major Asian airline for service and comfort.
I'd imagine Delta wouldn't be much different from AA (what I usually fly). good luck -- nice to be flown in J on someone else's dime! |
Thanks, fishee.
I immediately got a response from the very knowledgeable Gardyloo who pointed out that the LAN flight does not require a change of planes. Also that one flight will qualify me the AA Platinum challenge if it is booked as an AA codeshare, so I think I'm going with LAN. |
Lan is an excellent company. They honor the AA Gold or Platinum cards which is lovely.
